Basic education
One year the teenagers from the basic education come to the Carpentryproject every week. In this year they make five pieces, where each piece is slightly more complicated than the previous one, so they learn new skills every time. It offers children and youngsters creative training and the opportunity to prepare for vocational education. It lets them discover that they can invent and make something themselves. They learn how to use tools, make technical drawings and transfer them to the material, and how to work carefully and safely. Through play, the children also learn to read, calculate and use measuring instruments better. Because they make their own choices and see their workpieces grow under their hands, the students gain more self-confidence and therefore a helping hand for a better future.
